The ostrich viewing the "Helicobacter pylori story"This slide was the Guinness advertisement in the UK in 1986. This was the time that I was in London. I thought that the slide exactly depicted the attitude of the scientific community towards the then "Campylobacter pylori" story. This attitude lasted until at least 1991-2. At the beginning everyone laughed when I used this slide at conferences around the world. However, after the first laugh, I received a lot of feedback as people recognized themselves as the ostrich viewing the "Helicobacter pylori story". View Profile | |
