Dr Morris is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Clinical Director for Digestive Diseases working in Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Scotland.

Having trained in Glasgow and in South Carolina USA, Dr Morris has established a national referral practice for patients requiring enteroscopy and capsule endoscopy particularly in the investigation of obscure GI bleeding.

He has ongoing research interests in the fields of small bowel endoscopy in particular relation to diagnostic yield and outcomes of small bowel evaluation. He has been the senior author in several original publications in the field of obscure GI bleeding and review articles on the use of enteroscopy.

The endoscopy Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary has a national reputation for teaching and innovation in endoscopy, and Dr Morris has contributed actively to the development programme in the unit, running many successful endoscopy teaching workshops.

As secretary for the Endoscopy section of the British Society of Gastroenterology and a member of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy education committee Dr Morris has continued to contribute to national and international collaboration, particularly in teaching projects in endoscopy.
