Dr George Triadafilopoulos, MD, is Chief of the Section of Gastroenterology at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Palo Alto, California. In addition, he is Professor of Medicine at the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Stanford University School of Medicine.

Dr Triadafilopoulos earned his medical degree from the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki Medical School in Thessaloniki, Greece, and completed his internship and residency at Wayne State University Affiliated Hospitals in Detroit, Michigan. His postgraduate training continued with a clinical and research fellowship in gastroenterology at Boston University Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr Triadafilopoulos has authored and co-authored more than 100 original articles and has had his worked published in several prestigious journals such as the Lancet, New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, Journal of Clinical Investigation, and Gastroenterology.

Dr Triadafilopoulos is currently involved in clinical research spanning gastrointestinal diseases such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, Barrett's esophagus and adenocarcinoma, NSAID-induced gastropathy, colon polyps, and Clostridium difficile colitis.
