The research team evaluated data from randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, cohort, prospective and retrospective studies. Dr Khan and colleagues commented, "We updated the British Society of Gastroenterology guidelines on the management of cholangiocarinoma by performing a comprehensive literature review." "This is the first update since 2002."
