GIST in stomach.An 83-year-old woman with a large gastrointestinal stromal tumor of the stomach. She presented with increasing tiredness and found to have an anemia of 8.9 g/dL. Endoscopic examination showed a submucosal tumor in the proximal stomach with apical ulceration.
The CT scan shows a large mass compressing the stomach anteriorly and laterally. The tumor is well defined and contains necrotic areas. The size of the tumor exceeds 10 cm and the chances that the lesion is malignant is considerable.
