Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS): endocrine tumor of the pancreas.
Figure 6.92 shows the EUS appearance of two hypoechoic areas in the pancreas. Note the hyperechoic rim and the posterior enhancement. Macroscopic views of the excised specimen confirmed the presence of these two lesions, which at microscopy were shown to be insulinomas.
