Stones in the biliary tract.
Stones in the biliary system appear as lucencies within the radio opaque contrast medium instilled during ERCP. Their size ans shape varies greatly. Gallstones are usually slightly irregular in shape or faceted rather than truly spherical. Calcification can sometimes be seen in the stones. Distinction from air bubbles is clearly important.
