Dysplasia-associated lesion or mass (DALM).
Dysplastic mucosa in ulcerative colitis may be endoscopically visible as a DALM. Fig. 3.22 shows the typical endoscopic appearances, though the lesion has been mildly traumatized by the colonoscope. Fig. 3.224 demonstrates the histopathological abnormalities seen in a DALM.
