Duodenitis due to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS).
The term "duodenitis" should be used with circumspection. Minor abnormalities are often seen at duodenoscopy but correlate poorly with symptoms, though biopsy
material usually confirms the presence of inflammation. NSAIDs are the cause of a wide spectrum of gastrointestinal abnormalities, such as the duodenitis (duodenal erosions) shown in Figs. 2.487 2.488
