Eosinophilic esophagitis.
The typical presentation of eosinophilic esophagitis is a
combination of fixed ring-like contractions, resistance to passing the
endoscope, and the appearance of longitudinal tears of the mucosa from the
mere passage of the endoscope. Sometimes, this in itself can offer at
