Carcinoma of gallbladder with infiltration of bile duct.
A 73-year-old woman presented with progressive jaundice, purities and weight loss of 3 months' duration. Clinical and laboratory features were suggestive of obstructive jaundice. ERCP showed irregular gallbladder wall, a large stone in the gallbladder and narrowing of right and left hepatic ducts at the confluence. Initial management was by inserting a plastic stent in to the right hepatic duct. Laparoscopy showed tumor of the gallbladder with infiltration of the bile ducts at the porta-hepatis.
