Crohn's disease can cause delayed growth in adolescents.A 17-year old patient presented to an endocrinologist because of delayed sexual development and short stature. He had no gastrointestinal symptoms but blood tests revealed iron deficiency anaemia with raised inflammatory markers. He had Crohn's disease of the small and large intestine.
