Esophageal stricture.A 70-year old woman who had undergone an esophagectomy for a carcinoma
of the lower third of the esophagus. Several months later she
developed a fibrous stricture at the anastomosis. This was dilated. A
few months later she again complained of dysphagia. On this occasion a
tablet had become impacted in the stricture.
