Carcinoma of the body of the pancreas.A 70-year-old woman with a 12-month history of back pain and weight
loss. The CT scan shows a mass in the body of the pancreas with a
cystic mass distal to the tumor. The operative view shows a large
tumor in the tail of the pancreas. The stomach has been reflected
anteriorly. The tumour had invaded adjacent structures and spread to
include the portal vein. It was not resectable.
