Non-functioning islet-cell tumour of the pancreas
A selective coeliac arteriogram shows extensive tumour circulation in the region of the pancreatic bed. This patient had a large, non-functioning, neuroendocrine tumour of the pancreas, supplied by the splenic and left gastric arteries. A parasitic blood supply was also derived from the superior and inferior mesenteric arteries (not shown). A solitary, vascular, hepatic metastasis is also noted. (Courtesy of Dr Richard D. Edwards.)
