Insulinoma.A 40-year old woman with a six-month history of fainting episodes,
particularly when she had not eaten for several hours. She was found to
have fasting hypoglycaemia. An insulinoma found in the body of the
pancreas. It was excised and the diagnosis confirmed histologically.
The opened specimen shows a well-circumscribed homogenous tumor.
The patient's symptoms did not recur.
