Chronic pancreatitis.(a) A 52-year-old male patient with a long history of alcohol abuse and recurrent epigastric pain is shown to have widespread pancreatic calcification on this unenhanced CT scan. Pancreatic calcification is rare in gallstone-induced chronic pancreatitis. (b) This spiral CECT shows an irregularly dilated pancreatic duct (arrow) associated with calculi and pancreatic atrophy.
