The DCBS shows a slightly irregular stricture of the middle third of the esophagus in a male patient with dysphagia. Later in the examination, marked gastro-esophageal reflux of barium was apparent. Endoscopy confirmed a peptic stricture, and mucosal biopsy indicated columnar lined epithelium (Barrett's esophagus).
