Caroli's disease. This rare condition consists of communicating cavernous ectasia of intrahepatic bile ducts. This produces segmental intrahepatic ductal dilatation. The diagnosis had previously been established at laparotomy and cholecystectomy. Multiple, well-circumscribed, low-attenuation lesions of varying size are shown within the liver. Several renal cysts were visible on lower sections, there being an association between Caroli's disease and renal cysts.
