Traumatic pancreatitis
This young female presented with a number of recent episodes of pancreatitis. No cause for the pancreatitis could be elucidated from the history. On pancreatography, mild sidebranch changes were found in the ventral pancreas and a stricture is apparent in the neck of the pancreas, with proximal dilation of the pancreatic duct. The most likely cause was forgotten abdominal trauma at a younger age, and the patient was referred for a Puestow procedure.
