Ischemic colitis.Double-contrast barium enemas of a 44-year-old female patient with a sudden onset of severe abdominal pain and rectal bleeding. A DCBE in the same patient 8 weeks later shows virtually complete reversal of the ischaemic change, with more-or-less normal distensibility and no mucosal lesion.
