Hepatic vein thrombosis.
A 47-year old man with increasing abdominal distension. Found to have ascites and abnormal liver function tests. Liver biopsy and imaging studies confirmed the diagnosis of hepatic vein obstuction. Factor V Leiden deficiency. Underwent porta-caval H graft. The photograph shows the completed procedure. A = portal vein, B = caudate lobe, C = portal vein.
