Esophageal foreign body
Patient admitted to ER at 3 am referring swallowing of his denture during sleeping, followed by intense chest pain and odynophagia to liquids. Chest X-rays showed no pneumomediastinum, but metallic structure was seen in the mid-esophagus region. Endoscopic examination of the esophagus shows the denture with metallic pincers. No attempt was made to take it out due to high risk of perforation. The prosthesis migrated into the stomach and was removed through mini laparotomy.
