Double barium follow-through - small intestinal worm.
An incidental radiological finding in a patient undergoing investigation for chronic abdominal pain. A large worm can be seen as a filling defect in the small bowel. This is a relatively common radiological or operative finding in patients from certain parts of South-East Asia (this one is from Sabah, East Malaysia). The worms are most often found in the small bowel, where they can cause intestinal obstruction.
