Squamous cell esophageal cancer.
A 53 year-old male presented with progessive dysphagia. He smoked 40 cigarettes per day and weighed 115 kg. Endoscopy revealed a mid esophageal cancer, 7 cm in length, and histology confirmed it to be a squamous cell lesion. Staging by spiral CT and endoscopic ultrasonography showed aortic involvement. He was treated by palliative radiotherapy.
