Esophageal lesions in Stevens Johnson syndrome62 year old male diabetic well controlled presented with multiple painful oral ulcers and severe odynophagia preceeded by arthralgia.Oral lesions appeared after taking one dose of Cox 2 inhibitors(Etoricoxib).Symptoms progressed over the next 4- 5days.Endoscopy showed extensive flat ulcerations in the upper third of esophagus.Patient improved with a short course of steroids with a clinical diagnosis of Stevens Johnson syndrome.
