Gall-stone ileus, causing intestinal obstruction.This 86-year old woman was admitted with small bowel obstruction. She had no history of abdominal surgery and did not have any hernias. The obstruction did not resolve. At operation, three large gallstones were found blocking the terminal ileum, and there was a fistula between a chronically inflamed gallbladder and the small bowel.
