Pyoderma gangrenosum around ileostomy site
Permanent Ileostomy site due to Crohn's Disease. These pics are over the last several months from the end of December to Present ( June of 2010 ). These show progression of beginning to healing then to regression and then back to healing. We tried several different therapies and solutions from steroids, to silver algenate dressing every two days, to using silver nitrate to burn the area closed, then Hydrothera Blue dressing, and finally a combination of Hydrothera Blue dressing on top of a type of collagen underneath. The last combination finally worked and it is almost completely healed.
