Linitis plastica of stomachAn 87-year old woman with a short history of anorexia and weight loss. A CT scan showed a thickened stomach, consistent with linitus plastica.
The endoscopy showed a narrowed stomach, with tumour infiltration affecting the whole of the stomach. There was a single area of ulceration, but otherwise the pattern was that of linitus plastica.
The biopsies confirmed poorly differentiated gastric adenocarcinoma.
