Fibroepithelial polyps.Recurrent prolapsing hemorrhoids may scar and become fibrosed. This fibrotic nodule may prolapse with continued straining, leading to eventual passage outside the anal canal requiring manual replacement after defaecation. It may remain permanently prolapsed, as is the case here.
