Squamous carcinoma of the esophagusA 50-year man presented with dysphagia and weight loss for 6 months. He was a chronic tobacco chewer and smoker. An upper endoscopy revealed an extensive ulcero-proliferative lesion at 35cm with multiple proximal sub-mucosal nodules. Histology revealed a squamous cell carcinoma.
