Site of hemorrhage in colon
An adherent clot in right colon diverticulum indicates this was the site of hemorrhage. The patient had severe hematochezia and severe anemia, requiring transfusion with 3 units of red blood cells. This was treated with combination therapy: epinephrine injection, cold guillotining off the clot, and thermal coagulation of the residual small clot at the pedicle.
